This Privacy Policy describes how the Maharashtra Naka Kamgar app ("the App"), operated by the Maharashtra Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MBOCWWB) under the Government of Maharashtra, collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Profile photograph — uploaded by you for your profile

Location — city, district, and state to match workers with nearby employers
Work history — previous employment details entered by you
Education details — qualification information entered by you
Skills — trade/occupation skills selected by you

2. How We Use Your Information

To verify your identity via OTP sent to your mobile number
To create and display your worker or employer profile
To match workers with employers based on location, skill, and availability
To allow employers to search for and contact workers
To allow workers to apply for job postings
To improve the App and provide government welfare services

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party. Your information is shared only in the following limited cases:

OTP SMS gateway — your phone number is shared with our SMS provider solely to deliver the OTP message
Employers (for workers) — your profile information (name, skills, location, photo) is visible to registered employers searching for workers
Workers (for employers) — employer profile and job postings are visible to registered workers
Government authorities — as required by law or for welfare scheme administration

4. Data Security

Your data is stored on secured government servers. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing (bcrypt). We take reasonable precautions to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active or as required for government welfare administration. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

This App is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

7. No Advertisements

This App does not display third-party advertisements and does not share your data with advertising networks.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
